SUPPORTING THE VOLUNTARY ARTS SERVICES IN HILLINGDON
About Us
FOUNDED in the 1960‘s to help and assist the voluntary Arts sector in the area of Hillingdon.  (Hillingdon is in West London, UK.). Since that time we have always championed the cause of voluntary societies, the members of which give so much of their time and energy.

WE ARE A CHARITY Registered Number 1107008.  THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS  ("the objects") are to promote the voluntary arts sector for the public good in the general area of the London Borough of Hillingdon
1.
by providing advice, support, assistance and resources to voluntary arts organisations and charities and
2.
by advancing the education of the general public by encouraging its appreciation and knowledge of the arts and by promoting and encouraging education of the participants in the borough of Hillingdon.

We are able to obtain a cash grant from The London Borough of Hillingdon which enables us to help many of the more ambitious organisations such as those putting on plays and operas and the Philharmonic Orchestra, who could not exist without this injection of cash.  Many of the smaller societies also benefit in this way, and although the amounts are smaller, they are just as vital.

The Hillingdon Arts Association has also staged many events itself, culminating in the commissioning of a piece of public sculpture called “Anticipation” for Uxbridge Town Centre, and unveiled by Her Majesty The Queen as part of her Jubilee celebrations.

If your society is a long standing member of the HAA please note that membership is no longer automatically conferred by belonging to one of the Arts Councils.  It is necessary for a society to register their membership with us directly.  If you have not already registered then please contact the secretary for a form, or fill one in on this site..
