GRANTS
This Association has been disbursing grants to the Voluntary Arts Societies in the area since the 1960’s with cash donated by the London Borough of Hillingdon..
You can read more about it in the “About Us” page. This is called the Annual Grant and details are given below. We sometimes make other grants, and those that are available now are listed below.
GENERAL RULES
We are a Charity, (Registered No. 1107008), and all donations we make have to follow the rules laid down as follows;
Grants must conform to all current legislation which mainly means the latest Charities Act, and which is administered by the Charity Commissioners.
Grants must be made in accordance with the Objects of the Charity (This is part of our Constitution) (See About Us)
Grants can only be made for the purpose for which the money was donated.
All applications for grants go before a Grants Panel, who will make their decision in the light of the above rules and the money available.
No Grants are made to individuals at the present time.
Annual and Enterprise Grants are only made to AUTONOMOUS, VOLUNTARY, ART ORGANISATIONS, operating in the GENERAL AREA OF HILLINGDON BOROUGH. We will need to see a copy of your latest accounts. We will ask to see a copy of the constitution of organisations applying for the first time.
Other types of grants have other criteria as to who cam receive them and for what reason.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A GRANT
Your organisation needs to become a Registered Member of this Charity. You will then automatically receive forms for applying for the Annual Grant. You will also be kept up to date with all we are doing for the Arts and details of any other Grants that may be available from time to time. There are forms on this website to apply for membership, or you can ask for forms to be sent to you.
GRANTS AVAILABLE.
THE ANNUAL GRANT.
Application forms for this grant are sent to members in each financial year. They need to be completed in time for the Grants Panel to consider them and apply to the Council for a grant in time for the Council to budget for the cost in the following year. The grant is paid to us in the following financial year and paid to the successful applicants the same year. Click here to see a list of annual grants approved
THE ENTERPRISE GRANT
Member societies can apply for this at any time. This is for new or innovative projects or events being planned by societies. It could also be for an unusual venue or new audience. It is not paid for past events.

THE HILLINGDON ARTS WEEK.
A limited amount of cash is available to help in putting on events during the week. This will mainly be for helping with the cost of publicity. Some help may also be given for .the cost of venue We will be publishing a “programme of events”. More details on the week’s own website.
