CREATING THE CITATION WORDING. You are advised to create the wording for the CITATION in your favourite Word processor.
This way you can make alterations, and get it to just the way you like it. You would also be able to save it as
a Word file, and/or print it out for a permanent record
Then cut and paste it into the above box. The box will scroll up, so you can enter as much wording as
you wish. If you use the PRINT FORM facility it will only print what is shown on the screen. The full text
will be shown on the Email sent to you, which you can print out. The full text will be recorded on our Database
should you need it at any time.
PROBLEMS. If you have any problems or if you get a message "Nomination not sent in", please send a message using the Secretary.
WHEN TO SEND IN YOUR NOMINATION.
Nominations may be sent in at any time.
Those received up to 31st March in any year will be entered for the round of Awards for that year.
WHAT THE AWARDS ARE FOR. Awards are made for distinguished service to the Arts.
Also for outstanding ability in performance, for promising young talent, for administration and for any other notable contribution to the Arts approved by the Awards Panel.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. All nominations will be placed before the Awards Panel
for approval. Not more than 12 will be approved in any one year except in exceptional circumstances.
Awards will take the form of Certificates of Merit which will be presented at an Awards Ceremony ( usually by The Mayor)
to take place at the Annual General Meeting of the
HAA usually in July.
WHO CAN NOMINATE AND BE NOMINATED. Any person can be nominated.
Those who can make nominations (nominators)
include the President, Vice Presidents, Officers and Trustees of the HAA,
Officers of Member societies,
Individual Members, Officers of Groups of Member Societies
(including Arts Councils, Associations, and Co-operatives), and Associate & Full Members.
Successful nominees and nominators will be
notified.

Expression of appreciation for outstanding contributions
to the Arts for the public good.
Publicising the rightful place for the HAA in Arts Matters
in the Borough.
Encouraging Art Societies and Groups to look more
closely at the contributions made by their individual
members.
