Just in case you know a suitable applicant, we are once again advertising for
Casual Music School and Concerts Officers. This is a pastoral and operational role within
the Music Service, delivering support at our busy Music School on Saturdays and Thursdays,
and looking after the wellbeing of young people at our concerts and other events.
The role is paid hourly on an as and when basis and requires an enhanced Child workforce
DBS check and the ability to train as a first aider.
Please feel free to pass this on to anyone you think might be interested. Applications
can only be made online via dlvr.it/Q3GsQz (emailed CVs will not be responded to).
Thanks for your time!

For those of you who were unable to attend our networking event last week I
informed the group that I had acquired the free use of the Great Barn in Ruislip Manor
for the first week in July as part of the ‘’Hillingdon Arts in Action’ event.
I hope to hold an exhibition of A level students art work and asked if anyone was
available to oversee this event.
I think it would be very beneficial for the HAA to encourage young people to join in
this event and thus encourage them to join member’s groups and boost your numbers.
I’m afraid I do not have either the time or the necessary skills to oversee this myself,
so am asking for volunteers to help run this event. Any helpers would, of course
have the opportunity to display their own work completely free of charge and benefit
from free entry in the council brochure advertising the event
Please let me know asap if you can help, otherwise, I will have to cancel the booking.
Tim Saward has asked me to send him a list of participants for the Hillingdon Arts in
Action, so if you haven’t already informed me of your event, please do so asap so you
can be included in the brochure. I have asked him to let me have a closing date
for entry and I will forward this to you as soon as I receive it.
On a different subject, the Methodist church in Cannon lane, Pinner have contacted me
to say their hall is available for use on Tuesdays as a regular booking has just cancelled. If anyone in that area is looking for rehearsal space contact me and I’ll put you in touch with the secretary.
Finally, our secretary tells me that several members, both individual and societies
have not paid their membership so far this year (next years membership is due in March)
If you are one of the non-payers, please be aware that the HAA no longer receives any
funding from the council so we are totally dependent on membership subscriptions to
cover our costs, Please continue to support us by sending in your membership fees.
