SUPPORTING THE VOLUNTARY ARTS SERVICES IN HILLINGDON
The Visual Arts Group
The Group of Visual Arts Societies (formerly the Visual Arts Committee) is a group of member societies concerned with the Visual Arts. Visual Arts includes Painting and Drawing, Art Appreciation, Photography, Sculpture and ceramics, Wood Carving and Turning, Knitting and Needlework, Lithography, Screen printing, Batik, Encaustic Art, Fabric Design, Fashion and of course the new art form of Computer Aided Art and design. The Group is affiliated to (but not part of) the Hillingdon Arts Association. The members of the group have held an Annual Exhibition in The Great Barn, Manor Farm, Ruislip every year for the past 30 years. We were unable to hold it there in 2007 because of the refurbishment of the Manor Farm Site. These works are now completed, and we held an exhibition during Hillingdon Arts Week 2008. We will be starting negotiations soon for 2009 and if your society would like to take part please contact the Chairman. The exhibition of paintings is open to any member society of the Hillingdon Arts Association. The exhibition of other 3D work is open to any individual, subject to space being available. You can get further information by using the CONTACT US form Fred Davis, Chairman.
