Uxbridge Community Centre: 3pm & 4-30pm: Free Entry: Advance Booking Required by 15/06/2018: Tickets - office@theuxbridgecentre.org.uk:
The children  will learn how to create a pot using the coil and pinch technique - In this workshop we will teach the children how to roll, coil and build pots using an ancient method of hand building. Clay hand building is a wonderful way to think about construction, design and explore texture; It is  one of the oldest forms of pottery making and still used throughout the world where access to tools is limited. All  materials, equipment and tools will be provided,  however please feel free to bring your own apron or an old top to wear  as working with clay can be very messy! The clay will be the air hardening variety so the pots will not require firing in a kiln and can be taken home after the session. Please bring a bag to put your pot in, to transport it home.
Booking: via office@theuxbridgecentre.org.uk is essential. Names of child(ren), age of child (ren), plus preferred start time (i.e. 3pm or 4.30pm) must be confirmed by email. If successful, the Uxbridge centre will email them back to confirm booking.
There is very limited parking on site so parents need to take public transport or walk to the venue. There is parking on the surrounding streets but the centre is situated in a residential area and the parking spaces are often already taken

    For Children 5 - 16 yrs.
    UB8-Create
